How to Find Peace

For years I struggled with the final verse in the Book of Peter, “Peace to you all who are IN Christ Jesus.” I knew that Christ lived IN me since the evening on which I was ‘born again’ – but me living IN Christ? How could that be?

Today I understand. We who have Christ’s Spirit within us have an unseen cloud of God’s glory enfolding us. We are “IN Christ.” We did nothing to earn it but we can know it, feel it, and sometimes see it when we come close to Him. But we first must invite Christ to be IN us if we want to be In Him!

How the world needs to know the peace of being IN Christ Jesus! Although Peter died for his faith as did his Master, he knew where to find peace. His final words give us his secret: “Peace to you all who are IN Christ Jesus.”
