God Cares for His Children
“He will give His angels charge over you” (Psalm.91:11)
My husband and I were visiting my sister about 40 miles away. As we were leaving their house, we stood in the garage saying our good-byes over and over again. I remember thinking to myself, “Why don’t we leave–we say we are going but we don’t GO!” My feet seemed to be stuck on the cement floor as were my husband's. Several minutes passed before we left.
On the way home, our car stalled as we neared the top of a long hill. We wondered what we could do, but since there were no cars behind us we rolled backward to the bottom of the hill.
But no sooner had we stopped when a car came down the hill toward us on the other side of the road. The entire car seemed to be waving at us–then my husband excitedly exclaimed, “It’s David and Paula and the kids!” (David is my son and Paula his wife who live in the same town as we do!) Then they stopped and drove us to buy the necessary car repairs. My grandson remarked, “What a coincidence!'” I responded, “It must be God”!
Now remember that all of us were 40 miles from our homes–going in opposite directions, and meeting at a certain precise moment. I remembered how we had been so tardy in moving from my sister’s garage, and now realized that had we left even a few minutes earlier or later we would not have met! God must have instructed His angels ahead of time to make arrangements for our safety. He cares for His children!
