A Garden
Plant three rows of peas:
Peace of mind
Peace of heart
Peace of soul
Plant four rows of squash:
Squash gossip
Squash indifference
Squash grumbling
Squash selfishness
Plant four rows of lettuce:
Lettuce be faithful
Lettuce be kind
Lettuce be generous
Lettuce really love one
another
No garden without turnip:
Turnip for meetings
Turnip for commitments
Turnip to help one another
Water freely with patience
and
Cultivate with love.
There is much fruit in your
garden
Because you reap what you
sow.
To conclude our garden
We must have thyme:
Thyme for love
Thyme for study
Thyme for prayer

And God said NO!
(by
Claudia Minden Weisz)
I
asked God to take away my pride,
And
God said, “No.” He said it was not for
Him to
take
away,
But
for me to give up. I asked God to make my
handicapped
child whole, And God said,
“No.” He said her spirit is whole,
Her
body is only temporary. I asked God to
grant
me patience,
And
God said, “No.” He said that patience is
a
by-product
of tribulation,
It
isn’t granted, it’s earned. I asked God
to give
me
happiness.
And
God said, “No.” He said He gives
blessings,
Happiness
is up to me. I asked God to spare
me
pain,
And
God said, “No.” He said, “Suffering
draws
you apart from worldly
Cares
and brings you closer to Me.” I asked
God
to make my spirit grow
And
He will prune me to make me fruitful. I
asked
God to help me love others,
As
much as He loves me, and God said,
“Ah,
finally, you have the idea.”
IF I COULD CATCH
A RAINBOW
I WOULD DO IT
JUST FOR YOU
AND SHARE WITH
YOU ITS BEAUTY
ON THE DAYS
YOU'RE FEELING BLUE
IF I COULD BUILD
A MOUNTAIN
YOU COULD CALL
YOUR VERY OWN
IF I COULD TAKE
YOUR TROUBLES
I WOULD TOSS THEM
IN THE SEA
BUT ALL THESE
THINGS I'M FINDING ARE IMPOSSIBLE FOR ME
I CANNOT BUILD A
MOUNTAIN
OR CATCH A
RAINBOW FAIR
BUT LET ME BE
WHAT I KNOW BEST
A FRIEND THAT'S
ALWAYS THERE.

John
3:16
For God so loved the world,
that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not
perish, but have everlasting life.
All have sinned and come
short of God’s glory but our God is just and forgives us our sins. We just need to ask Him.
A Sinner’s Prayer:
Father God, I know that I have sinned and not always done things Your way. Please forgive me, come into my heart and turn my life around. I want to serve You and love You and do Your will. With Your help, I know I am able to do better. I thank you for your love for me. In Jesus’ name I ask you to come into my life right now. Thank you, Lord. Amen
God offers the best way to live your life. You can be victorious and successful in all things. With His help, all things are possible.
The Comfort Zone
(Author
Unknown)
I used to have a comfort zone
Where I knew I couldn’t fail
The same four walls and busy work
Were really more like jail.
I longed so much to do the things I’ve never done before
But I stayed inside my comfort zone and paced the same old
floor.
I said it didn’t matter I wasn’t doing much.
I said I didn’t care for things like diamonds, furs and such.
I claimed to be so busy with the things inside the zone
But deep inside I longe for something
special of my own.
I couldn’t let my life go by watching others win.
I held my breath and stepped outside to let the change begin.
I took a step with new strength I never felt before.
I kissed my comfort zone good-bye and closed and locked the
door.
If you’re in a comfort zone, afraid to venture out. Remember
All winners at one time were filled with doubt.
A step or two and words of praise can make your dreams come
true.
Greet your future with a smile
Success is there for you!
The failure to take a risk is much worse
than taking a risk that leads to a failure
Just For Today
|
Just For Today |
I will live through the next 12
hours and not try to tackle all of life’s problems at once. |
|
Just For Today |
I will improve my mind. I will learn something useful. I will read something that requires effort,
thought and concentration. |
|
Just For Today |
I will be agreeable. I will look my best, speak in a
well-modulated voice, be courteous and considerate. |
|
Just For Today |
I will have a program. I might not follow it exactly, but I will
have it. I will save myself from two
enemies, hurry and indecision. |
|
Just For Today |
I will not find fault with
friend, relative or colleague. I will
try not to change or improve anyone but myself. |
|
Just For Today |
I will do a good turn and keep
it a secret. If anyone finds out, it
won’t count. |
|
Just For Today |
I will do two things I don’t
want to do, just for the exercise. |
|
Just For Today |
I will believe in myself. I will give my best to the world and feel
confident that the world will give its best to me |

My Mommy can do anything!
8 YEARS OF AGE
My Mom knows a lot! A whole lot!
12 YEARS OF AGE
My Mother doesn't really know quite
everything.
14 YEARS OF AGE
Naturally, Mother doesn't know that,
either.
16 YEARS OF AGE
Mother? She's hopelessly old-fashioned.

That old woman? She's way out of date!
25 YEARS OF AGE
Well, she might know a little bit about it.
35 YEARS OF AGE
Before we decide, let's get Mom's opinion.
45 YEARS OF AGE
Wonder what Mom would have thought about
it?
65 YEARS OF AGE
Wish I could talk it over with Mom.....
Do you know what
would have happened if it had been Three Wise Women instead of Three Wise Men?
They would have asked directions, arrived on time, helped deliver the baby,
cleaned the stable, made a casserole, and, brought practical gifts.

A Smile
(Author
unknown)
A smile costs nothing, but
gives much.
It enriches those who receive, without
making poorer those who give it. It takes but a moment, but the memory of it
sometimes lasts forever. None is so rich or mighty that he can get along
without it, and none is so poor but that he can be made rich by it. A smile
creates happiness in the home, fosters good will in the business and is the
counter-sign of friendship. It brings rest to the wary, cheer to the
discouraged, sunshine to the sad, and it is nature’s best antidote for trouble.
Yet is cannot be brought, begged, borrowed or stolen, for it is something that
is of no value to anyone until it is given away. Some people are too tired to
give you as mile. Give them yours as none needs a smile so
much as he who has no more to give.
Touch Not The Glory
(Isaiah 48:11 - Erma Davidson)
Have you been
called to serve
where others tried and
failed
but with god’s help
and strength
your efforts have
prevailed?
Touch not the
glory.
Has God appointed
you
to some great noble
cause?
or put you where
you hear
the sound of men’s
applause?
touch not the glory.
Have you some
special gift?
some riches you can
share?
or have you learned
the art
of intercessory
prayer?
Touch not the
glory.
A watching world
still waits,
To see what can
be done
to one who touches
not that,
which is God’s alone.
Touch not the
glory.
Footprints
One night I had a dream.
I dreamed I was walking along the
beach with God and across the sky flashed scenes from my life. For each scene I
noticed two sets of footprints I the sand, one belonged to me and the other to
God.
When the lat scene of my life
flashed before us I looked back at the footprints in the sand. I noticed that
at times along the path of life there was only one set of footprints.
I also noticed that it happened at
the very lowest and saddest times of my life. This really bothered me and I
questioned God about it.
“God, Yu said that once I decided to
follow You, You would walk with me all the way but I noticed that during the
most troublesome time in my life there is only one set of footprints. I don’t understand
why in times when I needed You most, You would leave
me.”
God replied, “My precious child, I
love you and I would never, never leave you during your times of trials and
suffering. When you see only one set of footprints it was then that I carried
you.”

Victory
Overwhelming victory is yours through
Christ Jesus who loves you. And nothing can separate you from that love! No,
not affliction or hardship, nor persecution, hunger, nakedness, peril, or guns
or bombs. There is nothing in death or life, in the realm of spirits or
superhuman powers – in this world or in the age to come – there is nothing in
the forces of the universes, heights or depths – nothing in all creation that
can separate you from the love of God in Christ Jesus, your savior and LORD.
It is Christ – Christ who died, more than
this – who rose from the dead! And He is at the right hand of God where He
pleads your cause. Christ Jesus lavishes upon you all He has to give –
everything you need with love, joy, peace, life abundant and eternal! Rejoice –
be glad. His glory is upon you. Overwhelming victory is yours!

31-39
Dissolving
your Failure!
We fear failure perhaps more than any other
thing in our Christian life. The very last citadel which we will give up is our
secret trust of ourselves. The big part of the life of faith is actually in
acquiring a healthy distrust of one’s own heart. So afraid are we of failure
that we dissolve it and camouflage it – yes, and so preserve it that for the
next fifty years God must spend much time and money cornering us and bringing
us to that point where we WILL distrust ourselves, get over the fear of man,
admit our failure, and begin laying hold of His might for His glory.

When
I’m Weak and Weary
Bless
the Lord, my soul, and forget none of His benefits. He pardons all my guilt and
heals all my suffering. He rescues me from the pit of death and surrounds me
with constant love, with tender affection; satisfies me with good things, and
my youth is renewed like an eagle’s!
When
I’m Weak and Weary
I lift
up my eyes to the heaven and consider who created it all. The Lord let out the
stars one by one and called them all by their names! Through His great might He
has established them all! So why do I complain? Why do I say: “My plight is
hidden from the Lord? – my cause is beyond God’s notice?”
Do I
not know, have I not heard, that the everlasting God, the mighty creator, grows
not weary not faint? And He gives vigor to the weary, new strength to the
exhausted?
Young
men may grow weary and faint; those in their prime may stumble and fail. But
those who look to the Lord will find new strength, they will mount up on wings
like eagles; they will run and not be weary, they will walk on and never grow
faint!
From Psalm 103: 1-5; Isaiah 40:26-31
Don’t Quit
Don’t quit when the tide is lowest,
For it’s just about to turn;
Don’t quit over doubts and questions,
For there’s something you may learn.
Don’t quit when the night is darkest,
For it’s just a while til dawn;
Don’t quit when you’ve run the farthest,
For the race is almost won.
Don’t quit when the hill is steepest,
For your goal is almost nigh;
Don’t quit, for you’re not a failure
Until you fail to try.
~ Jill Wolf
Jesus The Teacher
He never taught a lesson in a
classroom – He had no tools to work with, no blackboards, maps or charts – He
used no subject outlines, kept no records, gave no grades, and His only text was
ancient and well worn – His students were the poor, the lame, the deaf, the
blind, the outcast – and His method was the same with all who came to hear and
learn…. He opened eyes with faith – He opened ears with simple truth – and
opened hearts with love, a love born of forgiveness – A gentle man, a humble
man; He asked and won no honors, no gold awards of tribute to His expertise of
wisdom – And yet this quiet teacher from the hills of Galilee has fed the
needs, fulfilled the hopes and changed the lives of many millions – For what He
taught brought heaven to earth and God’s heart to mankind.

The Torah
A ‘dressed up’ Torah scroll represents
the full armour of God. A scroll has its loins girt
about with a waist ribbon or belt holding two rolls together. Housing the Torah
scroll is a beautifully embroidered cover of blue or purple velvet, sometimes
silver. It not only beautifies the Torah, it also protects the scroll against
damage (the fiery darts of the evil one!). Upon the mantel, or cover, is the
Torah breast-plate (of righteousness). The handles, called ‘the feet’ of the
Torah allow the scroll to be opened, thus allowing its precious gospel of peace
and truth to be revealed in truth and in power. The pointer, or hand, allows
the reader to point to the scriptures while reading, thus revealing the Spirit
of God’s Word which is sharper than a two-edged sword! And last, the Torah is
crowned with the helmet of salvation, Messiah’s royal crown!
This Gospel
This Gospel is either a lie or it is the truth. There is no
middle ground.
If it is a lie, what a lie it is!
It has made millions of liars truthful, it has made millions of thieves honest.
It has made drunken and debouched
fathers into industrious men who could love.
It has made selfish people into
benevolent ones so that they have shared their bread with the hungry.
At has been the torch which has
lighted the way for education and science.
It has brought harmony and healing and
happiness to homes which were breaking or broken.
It has been light to the blind, wisdom
to the foolish and hope to the hopeless.
It has been FIRST OF ALL salvation
from sin and self, and a chart for this life.

Rotten Christians versus My Children
The devil does everything he can to
make us miserable. He has a “radio program” that he broadcasts to every
Christian. The name of the program is “Rotten Christians.” But we don’t have to
listen to it! We can turn it off, and we should!
We should listen to God’s program
called “My Children.” In the Bible, He calls us His children. If we are His
children, then He is our Father. If we are rotten, then our Father did a poor
job when He created us new in Christ Jesus (II Corinthians

A Talk With God
Though my path is often weary,
And a toilsome road is plod,
All my burdens seem much lighter
When I’ve had a talk with God.
I can cast on Him my sorrow,
I can take to Him my fear,
I can tell Him every
heartache,
I can feel His presence near.
And not only do I love Him -
Greater wonder, He loves me;
And His love shall have no ending,
Now, or through eternity.
Oh, why do I ever doubt Him
When His love to me is true?
When He’s promised to go with me
All this earthly journey through?
I could not go without Him,
He is all my hope and stay;
And beneath His mighty shadow
Peace attends me on my way.
If your life’s a field of stubble,
And your days just seem to plod;
I can tell you what’s
your trouble,
Friend, you need a talk with God.
