Modern science has uncovered, through computer technology, a secret Bible code which proves beyond the shadow of a doubt that Jesus Christ is the true Messiah! The very science which caused us to think the Bible was not written by God is today offering scientific proof that He did indeed write it!
Some of the books to which I refer at the end of this chapter explain that attempts to find this Bible code go back to the 14th century when a Rabbi Bachayah wrote that he had found encoded messages within the Hebrew text of the Torah. He wrote these down in a book which inspired a Rabbi Weissmandl during World War I to look for other codes. In recent years, computers have made this search much easier because the code is found by counting letters in the Hebrew text at equally spaced intervals. And computers have been programmed to do this very swiftly and accurately.
This code underneath the scriptures of the original Hebrew text has been confirmed by leading mathematicians and scientists at leading universities such as Harvard and Yale, even by a senior U.S. code-breaker at the top secret National Security Agency who set out to disprove it.
Computer programs are now available to study these hidden messages for yourself! (See end of article.) A knowledge of Hebrew is helpful, but anyone willing to spend the time with a Hebrew dictionary or with a translator can see these amazing truths encoded in the carefully preserved original Hebrew text. This is the way the computer programs find the code. They take a letter in the Hebrew text, then skip any designated number of letters at equal intervals until a word is formed. Then often several words will appear close together to form a message.
I first became interested in the code when I read Grant Jeffrey's The Signature of God. But it was only when I spotted The Bible Code by Michael Drosnin in an airport bookstore that I realized God was using the secular media to announce the existence of the code to an unbelieving world.
Mr. Drosnin's book is interesting and well documented, but his lack of biblical knowledge makes the encoding of the last days difficult for him to interpret. Nor was he aware of the breath-taking encoding of every detail in the Old Testament about the life of Jesus Christ as outlined in the New Testament. Nevertheless, the amazing hidden messages of the Bible which Mr. Drosnin included in his book were important to me because they stirred my interest in this area of computer technology. One message was especially significant to me, which I shall explain later.
Soon after reading The Bible Code, I bought Grant Jeffrey's The Handwriting of God, both of them published in 1997. A third book by Jacov Rambsel, entitled His Name is Jesus was also published in 1997.
Although my interest had been aroused in Mr. Drosnin's book about his discovery of Rabin's name and the names, places, and date connected with his assassination before Rabin was murdered, and although he found "Hitler" and "holocaust" and other words about the Nazis, and although "Arafat" is encoded immediately below "end of days" and other amazing people and events in past history, it was not until I read what Rambsel and Jeffrey wrote about the encoded messages in Isaiah 52:13 to Isaiah 53 and the book of Exodus that I was truly smitten with a godly fear!
For me, it was almost terrifying to read that every detail about "Yeshua" (Hebrew for Jesus) and the crucifixion is hidden underneath the Isaiah scriptures foretelling that crucifixion. Remember that both the Bible text and the code were written more than 700 years before Jesus was born! It was unbelievable!
To give you one of the many examples: the names of every disciple except Judas Iscariot are encoded in Isaiah, as well as the names of those responsible for His death and the names of those who watched the crucifixion as reported in the New Testament gospels. Because the code is found by counting Hebrew letters and omitting spaces, the Hebrew text must be absolutely perfect to contain all this information. Every single word is in its proper place!
The passage in Isaiah is not the only book which is perfect. Exodus 30:16 also contains the names of Jesus' disciples!
Genesis and Exodus, which scholars have often questioned, is free from a single error because the hidden messages are found by counting letters. In fact the entire Torah, the first five books of the Old Testament, contain the word "TORAH" throughout as an encoded message to confirm all five books are free from error.
The prophecies about Jesus Christ within the scriptures are themselves incredible because they foretell the death of Jesus Christ 700 years before His birth. But when you add to this the incredible fact of the hidden code which God included to provide names and other details, you realize God knew our generation would need a sign to help us believe He wrote the Bible. And he has used modern science to provide that sign!
I would like to point out that Mr. Drosnin, not a believer or not understanding Bible prophecy, would have no way of knowing what the Bible itself says about the future. Unlike Mr. Jeffrey who is an expert in the study of Bible prophecy, Mr. Drosnin does not know that our world will have a happy ending, and therefore his book ends in confusion and hopelessness. We who read the Bible know that evil will get worse and worse (2 Timothy 3:13), but we also know that eventually "the Lord shall be King over all the earth" (Zechariah 14:9).
In spite of the fact that Mr. Drosnin has not studied Bible prophecy, I personally have much to thank him for. It was, in fact, the encoded words "CODE WILL SAVE" which caused me to write this article.
Just listen to this!
When God gave Daniel a vision about the last days, He told him:
"Shut up the words and seal the book even to the time of the end; many shall run to and fro and knowledge shall be increased...the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end" (Daniel 12:4-9).Until our day when knowledge has increased enough to invent computers, the Bible code has been sealed! But now Mr. Drosnin reports on page 99 of his book that computers have opened "the book" by finding the words "BIBLE CODE" and "SEALED BEFORE GOD" encoded in the very verses in which God tells Daniel to "seal the book even to the time of the end!" And the encoded two messages cross one another in the form of a cross!
In addition to this, a still more exciting few words appear which Mr. Drosnin obviously does not understand. I am certain he does not understand it, because on page 179 he says "The message of the Bible code is that we can save ourselves." The Bible never said we could ever save ourselves in any way at any time! That is not possible! Man cannot save himself! But there was, for me, an obvious message. And I am sure it will be a message for many others.
The encoded message "CODE WILL SAVE" appearing just below "IN THE END OF DAYS" is earth-shaking news!
Why is it earth-shaking?
The code itself can save no one. But I believe that discovery of the code will cause thousands, perhaps millions, to believe that the Bible is written by God, and because of that, they will accept Jesus Christ as their Saviour and Lord.
Is it a coincidence that "CODE WILL SAVE" has been discovered within the Bible text at a time when world events and Bible prophecy point to the soon return of Jesus Christ? I don't believe so.
THE DISCOVERY OF THIS CODE WILL CAUSE MANY TO READ THEIR BIBLES AND LEARN THAT BIBLE PROPHECY FITS TOGETHER WITHOUT THE CODE, BUT THE CODE WILL VERIFY EVERYTHING THE BIBLE SAYS. THEN THE UNSAVED WILL ASK THE SPIRIT OF THE RESURRECTED JESUS CHRIST TO LIVE WITHIN THEM.
THE CODE WILL ATTRACT MULTITUDES TO JESUS CHRIST, THE ONLY ONE WHO CAN SAVE US.
I believe that the message "CODE WILL SAVE" is a very special message which God has kept unknown until now. I believe He has allowed us to find it today to assure us that He is, and always has been, in charge of His world.
Both Bible prophecy and the encoded message underneath it prove that God has a plan for the world. He knows how things are going to end.
The encoded messages have been "sealed" until our day to help us through an era of unbelief and help us to know the Bible is the true Word of God, and that we can trust everything that is in it.The article Can I Trust What the Bible Says About the Future explains the Bible prophecies themselves; this article speaks of the hidden messages underneath the text which prove to our skeptical generation that indeed God must have written the Bible!
