A Prayer for my Church

Bless this church, O Lord, we pray,
Bless and keep it day by day.
Place around its walls your light,
Warring hosts of pow'r and might.

Bless all those who come within,
Cleanse and wash away their sin.
Help them keep their eyes on You,
Trusting You in all they do.

Bless each service, each outreach,
Those who pray and those who preach,
Those who work, and those who sing,
Those who make You Lord and King.

We ask you'll keep our Pastor strong,
Protect him from all sin and wrong.
Give him wisdom from above
Fill him with your perfect love.

Grant us wisdom, grant us pow'r,
Grace and mercy for this hour.
May our praise and worship be
Always pleasing, Lord, to Thee.
