"Let My People Go"

Pastor, I am asking you to set your people free,
My Spirit waits and waits and waits for you to worship Me.
Too long you've clutched the reins of power, unwilling to let go,
You've tried to be the leader and you've hurt My people so.

All they want is to be free to worship Me in truth,
To eat the Word, then give it out to feed a hungry earth.
They perish for they are not taught the things they ought to know,
They do not understand their faith, and yet they love Me so.

Theology and pride of life, the flesh and word of man
Are causing you to build a church that's not within My plan.
Your programs may be very fine but if they're full of you
Then I'm excluded from your midst, and only you're in view.

Before my church can be My Bride, she must in one accord
Forget her pride and bend her knee before her risen Lord.
My Spirit cannot come, you see, no matter how you pray,
Until your hearts in unity forsake their wicked way.

So bless you Pastor, bless you leaders, bless you one and all,
Just open up your ears today to hear My humble call.
I'm calling now just as I called to Pharoah long ago,
Please, please, oh please relent today and let My people go.

Then as they come to worship Me to sing before My throne,
Their hearts will blend in one accord and they will be My own,
My own, my dear beloved Bride, about to wed her Lamb,
And I'm that Lamb, and they're My own, engraved upon My hand.
