The joy bells in heaven are ringing
For each new soul that is saved,
Saved from the world and its glory
Saved from death and the grave.
Saved from sin's false allurement,
Saved from the glory of self,
Saved from all pride in attainment,
Saved from the striving for wealth.
The joy bells in heaven are ringing
For each new saint who comes home
Whether by death or by rapture,
Forever to sit at God's throne.
To bask in the glories of heaven
To look in the dear Saviour's face,
To meet all the saints gone before us,
All those He has saved by His grace.
The joy bells in heaven are ringing
As Jesus gets ready His Bride.
His dear ones whom He's found worthy
To live for all time by His side.
I'll love Him, I'll serve Him, then meet Him
Until He comes back for His own
To take them up with Him to heaven
Where joy bells peel out round His throne!
