An Invitation to God's House

There is a place of perfect peace
Where sinners come to pray,
There God resides, His rest He gives
To those who choose to stay.

The stairs which lead up to God's house
Are worn with constant wear,
Worn by the kneeling of the saints
Who take their burdens there.

Sinners only climb these stairs -
The broken, tired, and sad;
Self-righteous fools don't know the way
To reach the throne of God.

For Jesus died for sinful man
To set the captive free,
For those who will acknowledge Him
And bend the stubborn knee.

Will you come to my Father's house
And find His peace and rest?
I promise you that if you do,
You will be truly blessed.
