My Morning Prayer

Father, please untwist my mind
Make it loving, make it kind.
Take confusion, anger, doubt,
Dig them up and cast them out.

I do not want to sin today
I want to live the Christian way.
I'm tired of pleasing only me -
To live like Jesus is my plea.

Father, make my thoughts more kind
Help me love with all my mind,
All my heart and all my soul,
With all my mind in your control.

So Father please untwist my mind
Make it straight, my thoughts all kind.
Let love like yours reign in my heart
That peace and joy I may impart.
