My Blood Covenant With Jesus

Today I make a covenant--blood covenant with You,
I promise You, Lord Jesus, I'll be your friend most true.
I cut my fleshly ways today and let your blood touch mine,
The blood You shed so willingly--your blood of life divine

You promised that your righteousness would cover all my sin,
To make me true and bold, and to keep me pure within.
It's not that I am worthy to make covenant with You;
You prayed that all who follow You will have a love that’s true.

So now today I pledge this vow to let your life be mine,
That our hearts be knit together with the love of God divine.
The flesh I cut is really cutting out my worldly ways,
That I may be your very own throughout eternal days.
