Why are you downcast O my soul?

Why are you downcast today?

God's on the throne and He loves His own,

No need to be downcast today.

I'll trust in God who cares for me.

Though storms and trials may come

I will seek His will and love Him still--

I see a light in the distance

It's coming now towards me

Thousands of angels, an army of them

They're coming for Christians you see!
