Lord God, You are merciful. Lord God, You are kind. Lord God, you are filled with compassion. Only You can bring true peace; only You can bring true joy.
We ask that you mold us and make us in Your image, in your pattern of holiness. Make us instruments of Your peace to comfort, strengthen, help, and bless those who are hurting, those who are hurting, those who are wounded, those who are dying. Let us show them your mercy, your loving kindness, and your compassion. Let us strengthen and uphold them with Your loving hands and show them the way to heaven.
May we be faithful in that which you have called us to do. Let us serve you in all humility, doing nothing to bring honour to ourselves, but only to point others the way to You. Help us to be faithful in that which you have called us to do.
We ask that you fill us with your Holy Spirit that we may go forth with the joy of the early church.
